Maria has been making jewellery since 1997. Starting off as a fine jeweller she progressed towards dabbling in high-end costume jewellery in 2009. As a painter in her spare time, she often longed to use more colour in jewellery making, using resins and acetate in conjunction with traditional gold and silver has helped her to achieve this.

Each L’mae piece is handmade using a unique design and colour combination so that no two pairs of earrings will ever be the same.

Pieces are created using a combination of resin, Mazzucchelli acetate or plexiglass and embellished with genuine Swarovski crystals. Findings are nickel-free, plated in silver, rose gold or brass, and Maria uses extra-large earring backs to give stability to the pieces when wearing.
