A little shop, darling!

I can’t always identify what exactly it is that draws me to one particular piece, what magical quality makes it stand out for me. It might be in the touch of drama it brings, the quirky edge it adds, or the warm sense of nostalgia it evokes. Sometimes I fall in love with a piece because of its simplicity, and I know that it will be the “bones” of many great outfits.

This space will contain a small, carefully curated selection of some of these items.

  • I'm loving the fun feel that these contrasting straps bring to my classic bags. The straps are long enough for me to wear them across my body (and you know how much I love a crossbody bag) and wide enough to be comfortable on my shoulder.

  • Arisu Corset

I layer this versatile Japanese-inspired corset over so many of my basics to create fresh and fabulous new looks. The Arisu is available in three variations; basic black poplin, vibrant orange and zingy green silk. This fabulous corset is worn high up under the bustline and cinches me in to create an "obi belt" feel that I love so much. I pop my beautiful black poplin Arisu over dresses, shirts, jackets, dressing gowns and kimonos. I usually wear a medium (or a size 36 South African sizing) and the L/XL fits me perfectly.

  • I adore anything with a hint of Chinoiserie, and this pair of earrings brings to mind two tiny, exotic Eastern artefacts. I find the shapes irresistible, and the combination of azure plexiglass with opaque coral Swarovski crystals delicious. Each L'mae piece is handmade, and there will only ever be one pair like this available.

  • Ramp up a simple outfit with these feather-light earrings. Each pair is handcrafted from polymer clay, so please do treat with care and avoid bending, dropping or wetting your earrings, and always store carefully to prevent scuffing.

  • I love this palette of beautiful greys, running from charcoal to dove, with hints of white and biscuit in the embroidery. This wrap is a richly textured piece of art, hand-embroidered in Kashmir, I love it.

  • Daniel created these sterling silver earrings for me a few years ago, and they have become part of my signature look. I feel that they strike the perfect balance between being elegantly simple - and making quite a statement. Each pair is handmade to order, and Daniel works on a ten-day cycle when creating his beautiful individual pieces.

  • L'mae earrings are like sweeties, and each pair seems more delicious than the last! The pieces are handmade, and there will only ever be one pair like this available. Bold, fun and glamorous, this pair is crafted from the softest lavender-coloured resin with a hint of sparkle, combined with bright baguette-cut Swarovski crystals.

  • I love that these earrings are bold and contemporary, and at the same time incorporate the curvaceous and sinuous lines of art nouveau styling. Sterling silver and Perspex combine to achieve these gorgeous, lightweight and thoroughly modern earrings. Tracey will be making your pair of earrings up for you, so they will be ready to send in 3 - 5 days.

  • Reds, blues, purples with touches of every other colour I can think of... this wrap would be magical worn with denim. Hand embroidered with traditional floral shapes, this one is a true Kashmiri treasure.

  • That colour! I would wear this wrap on repeat with all of my shades of grey. Hand embroidered with delicate white and tiny pops of blue-green designs.

  • These earrings create a statement, but are so light to wear! Their pearlescent colour brings light to my face, a real pick-me-up! Each pair is handcrafted from polymer clay, so please do treat with care and avoid bending, dropping or wetting your earrings, and store carefully to prevent scuffing.

  • I was so intrigued when Maria told me that the shape of these earrings was copied from a leopard's spot! Each pair of L'mae earrings is unique and there will only ever be one pair like this available. When I first saw this pair, I thought that they were white; but the body is the most beautiful soft grey colour, handmade in resin and paired with dark grey baguette-cut Swarovski crystals.
